The Adolescent Family Life Program (AFLP) addresses the social, health, educational, and economic challenges of adolescent pregnancy by providing comprehensive case management services to expectant and parenting youth. AFLP supports expectant and parenting youth in building their strengths and skills and linking them with services and resources. AFLP promotes healthy pregnancies, positive birth outcomes, improved health, and increased knowledge and skills related to positive parenting. Black Infant Health helps pregnant and parenting African American women by providing life-planning activities that encourage them to make healthy life choices for themselves and their families to ensure that their baby is born healthy. HFSDC gives pregnant women, who have been told their pregnancy is high risk, their very own free nurse who will offer support, health & parenting education, and assistance with any pregnancy-related medical concerns. The Accessible Depression and Anxiety Peripartum Treatment (ADAPT) program is an outpatient mental health program serving pregnant and postpartum women and families throughout San Diego County. ADAPT provides accessible and timely integrative mental health treatment and peer support to address the impact of perinatal mood and anxiety-related challenges during and after pregnancy. Those eligible are pregnant or postpartum and/or a family member of someone pregnant or post-partum, meet criteria for perinatal mood and anxiety and/or are at risk of a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder, are underinsured, have Medi-Cal, and/or are eligible for Medi-Cal, reside in San Diego County and not currently enrolled with another mental health provider.
